Weight Loss Prevents Back Pain


A balanced and proportionate body weight is the key for a healthy living. Extra weight is an invitation to extra trouble. Being over weight is major reason of various physical problems. The most common problem arising due to over weight is pain in joints especially back pain. The back pain arising due to over weight can last for long time and often leaves behind long term effects. Back pain if neglected can result into faulty postures. It can also lead to extreme conditions of Spondylosis. Below are discussed the causes as how over weight leads to back pain and some remedies to it.

Over weight and back pain

Being over weight and having a big stomach adds extra pressure on the back and knee joints. Back is the load balancer between the upper and lower half of the body. Similarly it is the most exposed to any kinds of pressure. Extra weight can be a determining in misalignment of the vertebra which leads to severe back pain. On the other hand being over weight increases the risk of degeneration of the disks which leads to long term back problems. Extra body weight also strains or tears the muscles or ligaments supporting the back. The extra pressure consequent due to extra weight is the major reason of such strains. Moreover, extra pressure on the back makes the back more vulnerable to back ache problems

Remedies

Medical science keeps on telling that prevention is better than cure. So right it is, why not prevent the pain before it arises. Loosing weight is the only way is one wants to prevent to above given symptoms. For loosing weight proper balanced diet and regular exercising is a must. Reduce, in fact cut over eating junk food. Junk food on hand has nutritious value and also adds extra calories to the body. These calories if not burnt get converted into fats thus adding weight. To burn extra calories one needs to exercise regularly. Exercising not only reduces weight but also enhances flexibility of the joints especially back. Exercising allows a specialized movement of back joints which makes them supple thus preventing back pain.

To have painless and life and to prevent the symptoms of back pain, thus it is very important to loose weight.
